The importance of practicing

I became a wedding photographer while transitioning from graduate school to law school. During that brief period I took my camera that I bought myself as a gift while in college and felt in love with photography. Leaving school behind and venturing to an unknown territory wasn't an easy decision but deep inside me I believed that I can succeed. Seven years later and without hesitating a single moment I can tell you that it's the best thing that I could have done. - Sometimes you just got to jump.  But taking the first step is not enough, photography is a profession that requires you to keep moving on, to keep innovating, to keep practicing.

Here are some pictures from one of my practices, I hope you like them.

Wedding Photography

This picture was taken inside Saint Paul's Church at the Columbia University Campus in New York City. The bride brought a trifold with the interior of the church and as soon as I saw the doors I knew that I hd to take advantage of this place to photograph the couple as they walk out after the ceremony. This picture took me about five minutes to get done. I had to ask people to stand in one side of the doors and I had to move some church items that were right next to the door. I think my efforts were worth it. Camila and Nelson ended up buying a huge print for their living room.
Among all the beautiful wedding dresses that I got a chance to photograph last year, this is one of my favorites. Wedding dresses are so unique and beautiful and they are one of the first things that I like to see in the bride's phone when they come to inquire about my wedding photography and video services.

Practice

It's cold but one must never stop practicing.

Fedgine

A picture from the beautiful bride who said yes to the dress at Estelle's Dressy Dresses  and got married yesterday. The space and time that we had to photograph her was limited as we had to run to the ceremony but we still got some beautiful shots for her.

My Parents

I had the great opportunity to see my parents after so many years. I never thought they will come to the USA but they did and I was so happy about it. This is a picture that I took during their first trip. They were getting  ready for my brother's wedding.
