NYC Silhouette

I did an engagement shoot in Long Island City yesterday and I had a few things in mind. First, I wanted to get something a little different from what most people would get. Second, this is such a lovely couple and I wanted to portrait them as tall and elegant as the city itself. Third, I want to frame them within the frame and for that I use the trees that I found nearby. Fourth, I wanted the sun's rays bursting above them, the light that will guide them through marriage. The couple already saw the picture and they loved it. In fact, they chose this picture to be displayed at the entrance of the ballroom during their wedding day.

Wedding Photography

This picture was taken inside Saint Paul's Church at the Columbia University Campus in New York City. The bride brought a trifold with the interior of the church and as soon as I saw the doors I knew that I hd to take advantage of this place to photograph the couple as they walk out after the ceremony. This picture took me about five minutes to get done. I had to ask people to stand in one side of the doors and I had to move some church items that were right next to the door. I think my efforts were worth it. Camila and Nelson ended up buying a huge print for their living room.
Among all the beautiful wedding dresses that I got a chance to photograph last year, this is one of my favorites. Wedding dresses are so unique and beautiful and they are one of the first things that I like to see in the bride's phone when they come to inquire about my wedding photography and video services.

A picture from the beautiful bride who said yes to the dress at Estelle's Dressy Dresses  and got married yesterday. The space and time that we had to photograph her was limited as we had to run to the ceremony but we still got some beautiful shots for her.

My Parents

I had the great opportunity to see my parents after so many years. I never thought they will come to the USA but they did and I was so happy about it. This is a picture that I took during their first trip. They were getting  ready for my brother's wedding.

Bridesmaids, New York City

I had the great pleasure of documenting this beautiful wedding. This was a very unique experience and I had so much fun. The groom spoke some Spanish as he had been in Ecuador for a few months doing an internship there.

Practice

It's cold but one must never stop practicing.

The Marriott Hotel, Flushing New York

I had the great pleasure to photograph an small but beautiful and intimate wedding. This wedding took place in Flushing, NY. Sharawn, the bride, and Felicia, the mother, are two of the most calmed and patient people I have ever met....The groom's family were also very special. The bride's mom had to travel early the next day back to California and the groom's family had to fly back to Toronto, Canada, but despite their tight schedules they enjoyed the wedding to the fullest and it was so touching to see two families from two different backgrounds, cities and religions unite by love and respect to one another.
